THEFACESHOP Mini-Haul 03.11.13

I know I said in my last post that I wasn't going to write anymore but I'm just having constant inspiration after inspiration to write so I figured, why not? haha

Yesterday I went to go return some things from THEFACESHOP as I had purchased their Aqua Tinted BB Cream (#02 Natural Beige) but it sadly broke me out. So disappointing as I really wanted it work for me. Sigh, I guess some things aren't meant to be haha. (I will be doing a review of this product sometime soon). I also went to return the E'thym Water Detox Cleansing foam as I realized it was for combination oily skin. I'm currently using their Herb Day 365 Aloe Cleansing Foam and looove it. I've went through about 5 of those tubes I think, during the course of 3 years. I had purchased the Water Detox cleansing foam along with my BB Cream on a sudden whim. Don't know why though...I also returned their new Lovely Me:ex Waterfall Grapefruit Mask. I really wanted to keep it, but considering that I have to save up money for prom, I figured I could forego this luxury of a mask. I didn't really need it, I thought. Ah, it would still be so nice though D:

I had originally planned to just return the items and leave. But of course, if you can remember my love for this store, I obviously couldn't keep my wandering eyes off the shelves as they were currently having their Annual Spring sale where you buy two of the same products and get them 20% off, and other deals. I had to walk out there with something. -_- Ah, my wallet is crying again. And it's not like I'm not already more broke than I am now. Ugh. Oh well.

If I had more money, I would buy more stuff there but their prices are just so...pricey! TT TT I only bought four things there and it cost me a total of something around $64 USD. ;~; A few more and I would have been in debt. That's how bad it is. But for their quality of their products I can't exactly complain. Still, one thing I don't understand is how some bloggers and reviewers of this brand say that this particular Korean brand is cheap and affordable. And I have to say, their price ranges are so much more different. Weird. Must be because of the different country standards? Or shipping rates? I don't know. Oh well. Have to be grateful for at least having a Korean skin store here in USA :)

Anyways~! On to the mini haul (On a side note, I won't be able to post any of my own pictures because my mom took the camera for her trip to Malaysia and Singapore.)

1. Arsainte Eco Therapy Ice Super Gel. $23.20 USD on sale//20%

My sister also got one as well, getting us the 20% deal.
I've purchased their Ice Ultra Cream in the past few months (I have three used up containers of that thing) and I really liked it when I used it for the winter months but with spring and summer approaching I thought gel would be better suited for my skin. And not only that, but I watched a lot of Korean makeup artists saying that gel based creams were good for dry skin, especially before applying base makeup as this will keep your foundation from looking patchy, flaky, or oily. Instead, applying gel cream before foundation will give your skin and makeup that healthy glow that a lot of the Korean celebrities have.  So in general, gel creams are pretty much good for any skin type.
The Face Shop has other products ranging in this line, which I have yet to try in the future. I really like this line as it is free from harmful toxins, parabens, mineral oils, animal material, and other harmful chemicals (their 7 free system) making this range completely safe and gentle to use on even the most sensitive skin. I was sold on this point, for obvious reasons.
Also, the water used in this line also features 100% organic Iceberg water and ice extracted from the icebergs in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Meaning that this water is pure hexagonal water and based on my research this kind of water is really good for a variety of aiding in skin problems. And not only is the entire line hydrating, it's also oil-free, making this suitable for pretty much anyone I should assume.
However, considering how organic and pure this product is, it is a bit on the pricey side ($29 for 100mL) but I think it's a good buy and fairly priced, especially for its skin benefits and ingredients. Hopefully this will be my money's worth haha. Review on this to be posted soon, given a 3 month (or less) trial. Side note: Their Ice Ultra Cream also cost the same as the Super Gel. Original price: $29 USD

2. Luxury Lash Curler. $6 USD

Looks kind of similar to the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler. Anyways, having purchased their FACEit All About Mascara in 06 Mini Power ($8) recently, I figured buying an eyelash curler wouldn't be so bad of a buy. To be honest, in the past few years, these things scared me. I always saw my friends using them and just the thought of them accidentally pinching their eyeball or ripping off their eyelashes was enough to creep me out. Not only that but watching them do it was bad enough. However, things change and I'm starting to "embrace" makeup more lol taking a little step one at a time. I've tried it a few times and they don't seem to do much for my short lashes but maybe I'm not doing them right haha. Oh well practice makes perfect, they say.

3. Pure Water Facial Mist-Jeju Marine. $6.80 USD on sale//20%

I got this on sale for 20% off. The original price is $8 USD.
There are three kinds of this facial mist, the Jeju Marine, Jeju Flower, and Jeju Orange. This purchase was also influenced by the Korean beauty show "Get it Beauty!" and makeup artists such as Jung Saem Mool and Son Dae Sik and other Youtube makeup gurus that I occasionally watch. Ah, I really have to stop haha.
But a facial mist is good for setting makeup or can even be used as a skin instant pick me up. It can even be used as a toner but I already have one and wouldn't prefer to use this as a toner anyways.
Facial mists are also good for skin's hydration and overall skincare. Based on the THEFACESHOP's description of this item, this product is "Formulated with the pristine waters and Gulfweed extracts of beautiful Jeju Island. This pure water facial mist helps hydrate and rebalance dry skin." Hmm, seems pretty good. I've never used a facial mist before so I'll have to see how well it works.

So that's it for my mini haul. In total, the products purchased for myself cost $36. Not that bad...I guess haha I'm always getting mini hauls from that shop, it's not good. That's it for today. Thanks for reading everyone~
